Texas girlfriend Alexis Pinto who shot her boyfriend has been bailed from jail

A crazy, jealous girlfriend who shot her boyfriend in a Texas field until she ran out of bullets has been released from prison, now leaving her ex-boyfriend fearing for his life .

Alexis Pinto, 23, is accused of luring her boyfriend to a secluded area on Houston’s South Side, where the couple watched the sunset, only for him to pull out a gun and start shooting on September 5.

Elvis Munoz recalled the terrifying moment his then-girlfriend began shooting at him, hitting him in both arms, stomach and chest because he believed his death was “soon.”

Pinto, who was arrested on charges of aggravated assault on a family member, was originally booked into the Harris County Jail with bail set at $75,000.

Two months after his arrest, a Houston court reduced his bail to $10,000, which was paid and Pinto was released from jail on November 15, according to court documents seen by The Post.

The shocking acquittal has led Munoz to criticize the court system for releasing him just months after he allegedly tried to kill his ex-girlfriend.

“You’re willing to take care of someone for three years and love them so much and they’re going to pay you for it with bullets, then try to take your life,” Munoz told KHOU,

Munoz, who worked as a mechanic before the shooting, is now left with limited hands-on activities.

“I took a lot of shots. I fought for my life for hours,” he said.

“I’m angry that the system is not doing its job,” Munoz’s sister, Ana Fernandez, told the outlet. “Because someone said he had a mental illness.”

Pinto was found to be “a person with a mental illness or intellectual disability,” according to a form signed by Harris County Trial Judge Sharon Chu on September 21.

His frustrations with Munoz began on September 5, when a customer dropped off a car for Munoz to fix, which irritated Pinto.

“(Pinto) was angry and attempting to attack (Muñoz), causing him to grab her wrist and tell her to calm down,” the charges allege.

Pinto allegedly tried to kick one of the couple’s dogs to get it inside the house, before she asked Munoz to take her to watch the sunset.

When the couple reached a field near State Highway 288 and Airport Blvd., Pinto allegedly ran away from the car as Munoz yelled, “Babe, babe.”

“Teach me about deer hunting, you really think I’m going to go deer hunting here? F-k you. What is your fault for doing this to me! “Stupid ass,” Pinto reportedly said as the pair stood five feet away.

Munoz questioned what Pinto was talking about, before he pulled out a gun and began shooting at him, hitting him in the chest.

Pinto, who was reportedly holding the gun in a “promiscuous manner”, continued to yell insults at Munoz as he was hit on both hands.

“That’s when I felt my left hand get hit,” Munoz said. told KHOU. “Like I felt my hand get warm. I was running holding my chest and stomach.

Munoz says he tried to run away, holding his chest, but tripped and fell on the ground bleeding from pain.

“Oh my God, this is not my time, what did I do, what did I do,” Munoz said, according to the arrest affidavit.

“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to treat you like that. I didn’t shoot you in the right place,'” Munoz recalled Pinto saying as she stood over him. “I didn’t mean to treat you like that. “It should have happened sooner.”

Pinto fired directly at Munoz’s face, but was reportedly stopped by his hands.

When Pinto ran out of pills, Munoz convinced his ex-wife to help him, where she drove him to a gas station while talking to his father on the phone.

“Told her I love her, and I still want to be with her, I still want to grow up with her, have kids with her and just basically trying to get into her head. So that he can help me.” Munoz told KPRC.

An ambulance met the couple at a gas station three and a half miles from where the shooting occurred.

Pinto was described as “jealous and controlling” and a “spiteful person.” Alexis Pinto/Facebook

Munoz was taken to a hospital where he underwent several surgeries, including surgery to remove a bullet from his chest on the day of his release from jail.

“She would be jealous, controlling, she would isolate me from family and friends. She holds a grudge,” Munoz said.

Pinto’s bail conditions do not allow him to be near Munoz or his family and he must wear an ankle monitor.
