The world’s longest car wash has gone viral on TikTok, with many customers pondering the pros and cons of the “entertaining” establishment.
Texas travel account tells viewers about car wash in a video This video, shared on August 12, has been viewed more than 14 lakh times so far.
The car wash location is located at a Buc-ee's in Katy, Texas, which is just outside of Houston.
TikTok said the car wash is 255 feet long and lasts about 5 minutes.
The video further states, “And it's totally entertaining.”
Customers can choose from two packages when they arrive at the car wash. The Works costs $16 and the Basic Car Wash costs $13.
Texas Travel chose The Works because it also included some fun extras, including tire polishing and a free vacuum.
“You'll get to see lots of color and even a hologram of Buc-ee's at the start,” TikTok said of the car wash.
At the end of the video, the account showed off its newly-cleaned car after going through the washing process.
Buc-ee's Car Wash in Katy opened in 2017 and Name recorded in the Guinness Book of World Records To be the world's longest car wash.
A ceremony was held to celebrate the historic opening of the establishment.
The car wash, which has 17 blowers and 32 vacuum stations, offered free washes to customers visiting on the inauguration day.
After the TikTok went viral, customers shared their negative and positive experiences at the car wash.
One person criticised the business, writing: “5 minute scratch.”
Another comment read: “And the world's longest scratch mako.”
Someone else said, “It doesn't dry well even if dried properly.”
Other customers, however, were satisfied with their wash.
One comment read, “Just went through the car wash! Seems like it'll never end! Really cool.”
Another customer wrote, “Best car wash ever!!”
“This is the best! Used it yesterday,” someone else said.
Buc-ee's It is a travel hub, where general stores, gas stations, and electric vehicle charges are located.
The company began expanding outside of Texas in 2018 and now has branches in several other states, including Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, and Colorado.
