Things took a dramatic turn after the real-life couple, Jenna Hudson, 26, and York Heath, 29, faced off during the show's Battle Round.

For their battle, they sang Paramore's The Only Exception, and Yorke was later declared the winner.
Jenna said of the experience, “It felt weird at first, going up on stage against my longtime partner! But I really enjoyed it.”
“I’m so glad he won, he really deserves it. It’s really his time to shine.
“I know we just put up a big battle and we were competing, but I think we found that we work really well as a team.”
But coaches Adam Lambert, Guy Sebastian, Kate Miller-Heidke and LeAnn Rimes were stunned when Yorke grabbed the mic after his performance.
“I just have to say one thing, really quickly, sorry,” he told the host. sonia kruger Asked: “What is going on?”

Getting down on one knee, Yorke showed off his engagement ring and then continued his heartfelt speech.
“I always want to be on your team. I love you so much. Will you marry me?”
Viewers were stunned as Jenna yelled, “Oh my god, yes!”
“I was so surprised when they asked me on stage,” Jenna recalled.
“I had absolutely no idea what he was going to do.
“I felt a bit weird, because I remember thinking it was the coaches' turn to talk, not ours!”
The engagement ring Yorke chose for Jenna was a classic yellow gold solitaire ring with a natural round brilliant cut diamond, made by Adelaide jeweller Gerard McCabe.
“I remember thinking, don't lose Gerard McCabe's ring. I carried it in my pocket all day and I was scared it would fall off on stage, or I would lose it,” said Yorke.
“I'm so grateful to Gerard McCabe, who supported me so much over the months of choosing the ring for Jenna. I wanted it to be ready for my competition on The Voice!
“It all became official when I saw all the coaches run on stage, I saw LeAnn and Kate hug Jenna and I was thrilled when Guy Sebastian came up to us and offered to sing at our wedding,” York said.
