James and Oliver Phelps, who starred in the “Harry Potter” films Iconic Troubleshooter TwinsFred and George Weasley host a new Food Network show called “Harry Potter: Wizards of Baking”.
“There are always baking shows going on in both of our houses,” Oliver told The Post.
James agreed. “My wife loves them. When we were first approached for this show I was very excited. It was something Oliver and I always wanted to do, hosting in general… we knew it would be high-standard work. Bakers are the best of the best.
The 38-year-old twins, who starred in all eight “Harry Potter” films between 2001-2011, are married and live in London. He cited “The Great British Bake Off” and “Christmas Cookie Challenge” as his most frequently watched shows.
Premiering on Food Network (and streaming on Max) on Thursday, November 14 at 8 p.m., “Harry Potter: Wizards of Baking” follows nine teams of bakers as they compete to create culinary creations inspired by Harry Potter . all on set Where the original movies were filmed.
The public could tour the sets, and “there are still about 7 thousand people traveling through it every day, we had to film at night on these sets,” Oliver said.
“I remember standing in the Great Hall and thinking, ‘We could have finished shooting the movie yesterday.’ “Almost like it never happened in the intervening years.”
James said that since many of the bakers were big Harry Potter fans, they asked the twins for stories.
“I felt like the old guy sitting in the corner of the bar, like, ‘Let me tell you, when I was a guy…'” he joked.
“It was nice to go back to where we had so many good memories and be able to share it with these people.”
While the Phelps twins host the show, chefs Carla Hall and Joseph Joseph serve as judges, while other former “Harry Potter” stars like Bonnie Wright and Evanna Lynch make guest appearances.
The twins said they regularly visit their former classmates.
“We’re even going to watch our local football team play, alfie enoch He’s a big fan too, so we’ll go together,” Oliver said.
James further said, “Tom Felton and I play golf often, there is a lot of rivalry going on. And the last time we were in New York, I met gentle [Radcliffe] For a coffee. It’s like friends from high school or college. You might not see each other all the time, but if you’re in the same area, you might catch up.
The Phelps twins shared their favorite Potter swag lego set Which makes Fred and George the Lego men.
Oliver said his oldest daughter is 7, and while he has built Lego sets with her, he has not yet read books or shown her movies, but he plans to do so.
“Many of her classmates are actually already into it. He had a new girl come this session and it was her birthday, so I took her with me, not knowing it was a Harry Potter themed birthday. None of the other parents had told these new parents that I was there [the movies]“He said.
“So I walked in and…I guess the people working at this restaurant thought they brought me in to do something. It was a really awkward moment,” he said, laughing.
“However, it’s cool that these people, who weren’t even born when the final film was released, were actually involved.”

Asked if they would watch it, James said, “I don’t know, it would be a little weird, I think, because we’d be like, ‘So, who’s that guy? He’s not Harry!'”
He added, “It’s definitely something that we have to look at and look at the whole thing. But, at the same time, I’m sure that everything Potter puts his hand to, he does it with such precision and such high quality. So, I am sure it will be of a high standard.”
“Whoever is in it, as long as they’re having fun, that’s the main thing,” James said.
