Last seen on Netflix in December 2020, many, including us, thought the second season was the last we saw of the charming Norwegian Christmas-comedy series Home for Christmas. Due to be released in 2025, presumably around the holiday season, Ida Elise Broch will return to reprise her role as Johanna. The series will pick up five years after the events of the second season, with Johanna now 35 and single once again.

Netflix has provided an updated logline for the third season of Home for Christmas:

“Johanne is now 35 years old. It's been several months since her breakup with Jonas. She doesn't have a boyfriend, but she keeps herself busy so as not to feel lonely. She's helping her siblings, caring for her single father and taking on a new leadership position at work. As she eases back into the dating environment, she begins to realize it's not the same anymore. Or is it Johanne who has changed? The breakup with Jonas was difficult, and there's a big question simmering beneath the surface: Will she dare to love again?”

Netflix has provided a logline for Salt:

“Mia is a successful writer who meets the love of her life in charming single father Emil. But their happiness is soon put to the test when it's discovered they can't conceive naturally and must turn to fertility treatments. Can love survive when artificial hormones and scheduled sex put their relationship – and sanity – at risk?”

A dark family mystery is at the heart of Netflix's new Swedish crime drama created, written and directed by Peter Gronlund. Gronlund has previously directed films such as Drifters and Goliath. The “whodunnit” sub-genre has been hugely popular for decades and it's not one that audiences get tired of easily. We're excited to see what Gronlund has in store for us in the Scanian countryside on Netflix in 2025.

Netflix has provided a logline for it Sinden,

“When teenager Silas is found dead in a farmhouse on the Bjerre peninsula – the always angry, awkward but extremely intelligent investigator Dani (Krista Kosonen) has to investigate the case together with newly graduated police colleague Malik (Mohamad Nur Oklah). The investigation leads Dani and Malik into a patriarchal rat hole in the Scanian countryside and they soon find themselves at the center of a dark family feud that dates back generations. Dani, who has a personal connection to the victim Silas, becomes deeply involved in the investigation and the families centered around him. The patriarch Elis (Peter Gantman) gives Dani a deadline to solve the case before the family takes matters into their own hands. Sinden is a modern crime drama set in an uncertain world of conflict and violence where original sin is constantly present.”
