Three teenagers were stabbed and a fourth was attacked with a knife outside a Bronx high school on Monday, just three days after the new school year began.
Police said four teenage boys were attacked outside Herbert Lehman High School on East Tremont Avenue just after 3:45 p.m.
According to police, a 16-year-old boy was stabbed in the right shoulder, another 16-year-old boy was stabbed in the back, a 15-year-old boy was stabbed in the right arm and a 17-year-old boy was stabbed in the right hand.
The four victims, all high school students, were taken to Jacobi Hospital in stable condition.
According to the NYPD, the stabbing victim is believed to also attend the school, though no arrests have been made yet.
Police said the attack did not take place inside the school premises.
It's unclear if police are looking for one suspect or several. The investigation is ongoing.
In addition, two other students were detained on disorderly conduct charges for an unrelated fight that occurred nearby, police said.
