Just like Dragon Ball, Death Note, and other popular anime, Tokyo Ghoul is known to be a starter anime for many fans around the globe. With an amazing first season, the anime quickly captivated the attention of the whole anime community back in the day. But we all know how things ended up with the studios butchering the legacy and reputation of the manga with Season 2.
It’s been more than six years since the final episode of Tokyo Ghoul: re was released, and since the 10th anniversary is right around the corner, the staff has announced a new project to celebrate the occasion.
Tokyo Ghoul Anime Will be Available to Stream for Free
The first episode of Tokyo Ghoul’s first season aired on July 3, 2014, and is still regarded as one of the best pilot episodes of an anime. Thus, as the decennial anniversary of its broadcast nears, it has been announced that all forty-eight episodes of the Tokyo Ghoul anime, along with OVAs, will be made available for free on Studio Pierrot’s YouTube channel.
So, you will be able to binge-watch the entire Tokyo Ghoul anime series for free starting April 5, 2024, (Friday) at 19:00 JST on their YouTube channel. This is a blessing for veteran fans to revisit the series as well as newcomers who haven’t watched Tokyo Ghoul yet.
The complete list of episodes that will be available for free on Studio Pierrot’s YouTube channel is as follows:
- “Tokyo Ghoul” (12 episodes)
- “Tokyo Ghoul √A” (12 episodes)
- OVA “Tokyo Ghoul [JACK]”
- OVA “Tokyo Ghoul [PINTO]”
- “Tokyo Ghoul: Re” (all 12 episodes)
- “Tokyo Ghoul: Re Final Chapter” (all 12 episodes)
That’s everything you need to know about the Tokyo Ghoul 10th-anniversary project. I’m sure many of you (including me) would have expected a remake of Tokyo Ghoul. But it looks like that is not on the card for now, and we can continue to manifest it.
