They’re taking cereal to “New Heights.”
Football stars and brothers Travis and Jason Kelce will be taking on new roles off the field this fall — in the cereal business.
The Superbowl Champions can add cereal co-creators of General Mills’ Kelce Mix Cereal to their resumes.
After sharing their favorite cereals on an episode of their podcast last year, General Mills scouted the duo to put a product on shelves.
When asked about their favorite cereals during the fan Q+A portion of their podcast, Travis, 34, and Jason, 36, had the same cereals in their top three: Reese’s Puffs, Cinnamon Toast Crunch and Lucky Charms.
Luckily for General Mills, the company produces all three of those cereals, and the new partnership with the Kelces sees a first-of-its-kind cereal that combines all of its sugary goodness.
The limited-edition Kelce Mix cereal puts Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Lucky Charms and Reese’s Puffs into one box.
“I’ve said that I’d eat a whole box of Reese’s Puffs cereal in one sitting, and while I stand by that, our creation might just be the new MVP of the cereal aisle,” Travis said in a statement provided to The Post.
“We’d go through two to three boxes of our favorite cereals a week when we were growing up, so being able to team up with General Mills now is a full circle moment for us.”
To create the “magically delicious” breakfast combo, Travis and Jason attended General Mills’ Cereal Training Camp, where they competed in challenges such as the Cinnadust sprayer and the Lucky Charms Marshmallow Mission.
“I take my cereal game seriously, and thank goodness, because Cereal Training Camp was no joke,” Jason quipped. “The only thing Travis and I know more about than football is cereal — so we’re honored to take home the victory and consider ourselves officially inducted into cereal culture with Kelce Mix.”
A content series showcasing the brothers’ time at training camp — for cereal, not football — will be coming soon for fans to enjoy, perhaps while eating their new cereal combo.
“Who are we to argue with two of the best from the league? After some fan speculation, we are so excited to confirm that you can now eat and train like the Kelce brothers by getting your hands on the legendary lineup of cereals and watching all the fun from our Cereal Training Camp videos this football season,” Brandon Tyrrell, Senior Manager of Brand Experience for Family Favorites cereals at General Mills, said in a statement.
“Our brands have always brought families together at the breakfast table, so it’s been special to work with Jason and Travis who grew up eating our cereals themselves and could channel their inner child when competing. We hope this collab inspires our fans to think about their own all-time cereal creations while they enjoy more togetherness over a bowl of Kelce Mix.”
In addition to the Kelce Mix Cereal, lovers of cereal and the Kelces will be able to snag four different limited-edition Kelces’ Pick collectible boxes, featuring photos of the brothers on the boxes, of Honey Nut Cheerios (another favorite of theirs), Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Lucky Charms and Reese’s Puffs.
The limited-edition Kelce Mix cereal, as well as the Kelces’ Pick collectible boxes, will be on shelves this September, so fans can eat like the Kelces just in time for football season.
