A suspected member of the Tren de Aragua gang was released without bail in an attempted murder case by the Big Apple — and was recently caught sex-trafficking a 15-year-old who fled New York City, authorities say .
Officials and law-enforcement sources say Enyerbert Blanco, 27, of Venezuela, was first caught illegally entering Texas in May 2023 and was ordered removed — but for some reason in Elizabeth, NJ. Detained in a holding center and released after a month. ,
Authorities said he opened fire on a man in The Bronx, attempted murder, and then was released without bail.
Authorities said Blanco was picked up for drugs in Miami, Florida, less than two weeks ago — and then freed.
Last week, he was caught again – this time for allegedly sex-trafficking a minor. He is eventually caught by Florida authorities.
“This is a really bad guy,” Palm Beach County Sheriff Rick Bradshaw said. said at a press conference monday.
“It’s good to get him off the streets.
“This system is so broken,” the sheriff fumed. “A person here has been deported. Now he has returned to the country illegally for the second time. So obviously whatever this checking system is at the border is not working. The border is not closed. Illegals are still coming.
“How can he be out on bail in an attempted murder case out of New York, he has been arrested in Miami for drug trafficking, and he is hanging out. It’s unconscionable,” Bradshaw said.
“Guys, I can tell you one thing. That woman and this guy who were involved in this, their butts are living in my jail.
“They’re not coming out.”
Blanco was picked up by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office Saturday at a Motel 6 in Riviera Beach with an accomplice and accused of forcing the teen into prostitution.
According to police, the teen trafficked by Blanco ran away from the Big Apple on September 12 and was taken to Florida for prostitution by Blanco and 33-year-old Yenire Carolina Pache Colliton.
Acting on an anonymous tip, Palm Beach deputies found the pair at a motel on Friday, where the teen told police she was forced to have sex for money with more than a dozen strangers .
Pache Colliton, an illegal Colombian citizen, was charged with 10 counts of human trafficking of a minor and one count of interference with custody. According to WFLX-TV News,
Online records show Blanco is charged with interference with custody and resisting arrest and is being held on $100,000 bail at the Main Detention Center in West Palm Beach.
Blanco previously was in a New York City jail after allegedly opening fire on a Bronx man at Selwyn Avenue and Mount Eden Avenue on October 22, 2023. The victim was not shot, but police charged Blanco with attempted murder and gun possession. reckless endangerment.
The intended target was reportedly the ex-husband of Blanco’s girlfriend at the time. The two were about to confront each other, but Blanco allegedly pulled out a gun and fired a shot, which was heard by a nearby policeman.
Blanco was initially jailed on the charges, and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement issued a holding detainer for him a little more than a week later, through October 31, 2023.
But last July 17 he was released without bail, with the case still pending — leaving him free to face drug and sex-trafficking charges in Miami, authorities said. It was not immediately clear why he was released by a New York City judge in the Bronx case.
Bronx prosecutors argued for bail but Blanco’s attorney fought for his release and he got bail, sources said.
The Miami drug arrest referenced by Bradshaw occurred last Oct. 10, when Blanco was charged with aggravated battery and possession of drug paraphernalia and cannabis, sources said.
The Bronx District Attorney’s Office did not respond to a Post request for comment. The Legal Aid Society, which represents Blanco in the New York case, had no comment.
