The split-screen dynamic was the result of Trump, 78, arriving more than three hours late to the Traverse City, Michigan, rally site.
“I’m very sorry,” Trump said at the end of his speech. “We’re so tied to each other, and I thought you wouldn’t mind too much since we’re trying to win.”
The Republican presidential candidate was stopped in Austin, Texas, Recording of approximately three hours long interview on comedian Joe Rogan’s wildly popular podcast.
“It was the longest interview I’ve ever had in my life,” Trump said.
“So I’m sorry but, you know, it’s all about winning. We have to win. And, we did some things today that will help us win,” he argued.
The former president ridiculed Harris, 60, for campaigning in Houston with Beyoncé, Kelly Rowland, Willie Nelson and Jessica Alba. Israel carried out retaliatory air strikes against Iran,
“Do you know where he is tonight?” Trump said of his 2024 opponent. “She’s out partying.”
“So, Israel is attacking (Iran) – we’re at war and she’s having a party,” the 45th president said. “At least we’re working to make America great again.”
“He is the worst vice president in the history of our country,” Trump said of the Democratic nominee.
With Harris in Houston and President Biden in Wilmington, Del., over the weekend, the former commander in chief argued that leadership was absent in Washington at a potentially dangerous moment.
“Tonight in the Middle East – it’s like a tinderbox. It’s ready to explode,” Trump said.
“No one is in charge,” he alleged. “Joe Biden is sleeping and Kamala is at a dance party with Beyonce.”
Trump also took aim Harris’s tax increase plan On corporations, unrealized capital gains and individuals with income over $400,000.
He dubbed the Vice President as the “tax queen”.
“All my life I’ve watched politicians — they say, ‘We’ll lower taxes.’ This is the only idiot politician trying to say, ‘I’ll raise your taxes,'” Trump said of Harris. “She’s bragging about it.”
Meanwhile, more than 1,300 miles away in Houston, Harris railed against the “Trump abortion ban” in a speech focused on restrictions on the procedure.
“What’s happening in Texas, this state and our country is a health care crisis,” the vice president said of state-imposed limits on abortion. “And Donald Trump is its architect.”
“When Donald Trump was president, he chose three members of the United States Supreme Court with the intent that they would eliminate the protections of Roe v. Wade,” Harris alleged.
“He brags about overturning Roe v. Wade,” she continued. “In his own words, quote, ‘I did it and I’m proud of doing it.’ That’s what he says.”
Harris then suggested that Trump is “proud that women are dying; Proud that doctors and nurses can be jailed for life for providing life-saving care; I am proud that young women in America today have less rights than their mothers and grandmothers.
“How dare he,” the vice president said angrily, before he alleged that “Donald Trump doesn’t trust women.”
Harris also criticized Trump for refusing to release his detailed medical records, claiming it was hypocrisy on his part.
“Do you see the irony?” Harris told the rally attendees.
“On the one hand, Donald Trump won’t let anyone see his medical records – I gave up my medical records -. And on the other hand, they want to get their hands on your medical records,” he alleged.
Citing her Project 2025, Harris alleged, “She would force all 50 states to track and report on women’s access to abortion and abortion.”
Trump has repeatedly rejected the conservative Heritage Foundation’s Project 2025 policy blueprint.
“Put simply, they’re out of their minds,” Harris said angrily.
