ALLENTOWN, Pa. — Former President Donald Trump called it “terrible” Tuesday that President Biden called his supporters “trash.”
Trump, 78, commented on Biden’s remarks after being informed about it by Senator Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) while he was on stage at a Pennsylvania rally.
“He’s talking about everyday Americans who love their country and want to dream big again and want to support you, Mr. President,” Rubio said. “And I hope the (Harris) campaign is going to apologize for what Joe Biden just said.”
“We are not garbage. We are patriots. We love America. Thank you for running,” Rubio told Trump.
“Excellent. That’s terrible,” the former president responded.
“So, you have to remember Hillary (Clinton) – she said ‘reprehensible’ and then she said ‘incorrigible’…. “I think ‘trash’ is worse,” Trump said.
“Donald Trump has no character. He doesn’t care about the Latino community,” Biden said Tuesday. According to NBC reporter“Just a few days ago, a speaker at his rally called Puerto Rico a floating island of garbage.”
“The only garbage I see floating around there is his supporters.”
