Former President Donald Trump spoke on the historic impeachment of Mayor Adams on Thursday.
The former commander in chief admitted he didn't know Adams well — but he spoke highly of Hizzoner trying to deal with the Big Apple's migrant crisis.
“I watched about a year ago when he talked about how illegal immigrants are hurting our city, and the federal government should be paying us, and we shouldn't be taking them in,” Trump told reporters. ” “And I said, 'You know what? Within a year he'll be convicted.'”
“And I was absolutely right, because that's what we have. “We have people who are using the Justice Department and the FBI at a level never seen before.”
Trump himself has dealt with several criminal charges, including his own Historic “hush money” conviction in New York earlier this year.
“I wish them well,” Trump said. “These are dirty players. These are bad people. They cheat and do anything necessary.”
