Former President Donald Trump President Biden praised his supporters on Wednesday, calling them the “heart and soul of America,” a day after President Biden compared them to floating “trash.”
“Kamala (Harris) and Joe (Biden) call us trash. I call you the heart and soul of America,” Trump told the crowd at a lively rally in Green Bay, Wis.
“You are the heart and soul,” he repeated. “You built our country. …more than they made of it.”
“My supporters are of a much higher quality than Crooked Joe or Lynne Kamala,” Trump said. He argued that “You can’t lead America if you don’t love Americans.”
Trump, 78, took the stage at the Resch Center, just across the street from Lambeau Field, the iconic home of the NFL’s Green Bay Packers — wearing the same orange safety jacket he wore in MAGA-themed garbage truck It was unveiled hours earlier, when the former president landed in the Badger State.
The former president revealed that Biden’s plan to seize the attack came together quickly, and he was asked only 30 minutes before landing in Green Bay if he wanted to sit inside the sanitation vehicle.
“One of my guys came in and said, ‘Sir, you know, the word garbage is the hottest thing right now. Would you like to drive a garbage truck?’ Trump said.
“And they pulled this garbage truck – I don’t know how the hell they did it so fast,” he marveled.

“The only trash I see floating around out there are his supporters,” the president said, later claiming he was referring only to the comedian who performed at Trump’s Madison Square Garden rally on Sunday in Puerto Rico. Made a crude joke about Rico.
The Republican presidential nominee said Biden’s “trash” comments are the latest in a long list of Democratic attacks against his supporters.
“For the last nine years, Kamala and her party have called us racist bigots, fascists, deplorable, irredeemable Nazis, and they have called me Hitler,” Trump fumed.
“He has insulted you. They have turned us into monsters. They have censored us. They have removed us from the stage, and they have weaponized the power of our own government against all of us,” the 45th president continued. “They have taken your money. They have opened your borders to criminals and terrorists. They have filled your cities with deadly drugs and death – they are incompetent people. They have given your jobs to illegal immigrants and sent our blood and treasure to fight in stupid foreign wars where countries we don’t even know who we are and have never heard of that country.
“This Tuesday is your chance to stand up and declare that you will not tolerate this any longer,” Trump said to applause.
The former president argued that Harris, 60, is running a campaign on “hate, anger and vengeance” and that for the past four years, she and Biden have treated “the entire country like trash.”
Before his remarks, Trump received a strong endorsement from Green Bay Packers legend Brett Favre.
The Hall of Famer declared that “it’s time to bench Kamala and put in a star quarterback” — meaning Trump.
Favre argued, “It would be madness to give Kamala four more years in office.”
Current Packers AJ Dillon was also seen in the front row at the rally, but did not speak at the event.
The latest RealClearPolitics average of surveys shows Harris leads Trump by 0.2 percentage points in the Badger State.
