Tyrese says he is done with social media and posted his final Instagram, marking the end of his social media presence with a lengthy comment.
The singer went viral for crying on The Breakfast Club. During the interview, Tyrese said that it's important to see black men cry, and that tears don't show weakness.
“I have officially retired from social media. I am going to stay off social media. I will be praying that I can turn off my comments because I do not want to be reminded of the absolutely disgusting and intolerable narrative that real men don't cry,” he wrote.
“And when a man is going to have a baby with that beautiful woman or fiancée or wife, and eventually she has a miscarriage [ I thank God I’ve never experienced this ] The only person who is going to be depressed, unhappy or even suicidal over that loss is not just the woman.”
The singer criticised “toxic masculinity” and said he is an alpha male who is being made fun of.
The singer took a break from Instagram for just a few hours. Now, he has started posting regularly.
