Song Joong Ki’s upcoming K-drama revealed:
Song Joong Ki is set to star in My Youth (working title) opposite Chun Woo Hee of The Atypical Family fame and Lee Joo Myung of Twenty-Five Twenty-One fame, according to Hankyung and Soompi. My Youth is a romance drama that tells the inspiring story of Seon Woo Hae and Sung Je Yeon, two struggling individuals, who reunite after 15 years and live fiercely.
My Youth is written by Park Si Hyun, the scriptwriter behind ZE:A member Im Siwan and Shin Se Kyung’s Run On. The upcoming series will be directed by Lee Sang Yeop, who helmed Kim Go Eun, Ahn Bo Hyun, and GOT7 member Jinyoung starrer Yumi’s Cells. If Song Joong Ki officially accepts the drama offer, this will mark his first on-screen collaboration with both Chun Woo Hee and Lee Joo Myung.
As for the movies, Song Joong Ki was last seen in My Name is Loh Kiwan. Also starring Choi Sung Eun, the romance drama film was released on Netflix and was critically acclaimed. The actor’s upcoming movie is Bogota: City of the Lost, the release date of which is yet to be announced.
The crime drama film also stars Lee Hee Joon and Kwon Hae Hyo, and has been directed by Kim Seong Je. Bogota: City of the Lost follows Guk Hee (Song Joong Ki), who moves to Bogota with his family for a better life, but ends up in the dumps.
