Looking for ways to practice mindfulness? Start by looking at your everyday habits and routines. Taking a look at how you spend your hours and what catches your attention can reveal countless mindfulness moments, whether you're practicing intentionally or by chance.
From Pay attention to beauty Starting your day with intention rather than reaction can do wonders for your day. You may find that checking off the news or the latest updates about work before doing something for yourself in the morning prevents you from getting things done. “Being busy finding yourself all day long.” Perhaps if you keep your surroundings tidy, your mind will feel less cluttered. The important thing is to be aware of the little things in your presence that make you feel like yourself.

Watch the sunrise.
2. Find joy in the individual activities of your morning routine.
3. Be mesmerized by the vapors from your coffee or tea.
4. Try freelance writing.
5. Play a song and enjoy it, whether you dance to it or lie in bed with your eyes closed. Have a dance party alone and play on repeat any song that is giving you all kinds of feelings.
Move your body.
7. Drink water.
8. Stop rushing. Give yourself extra time to complete a task or reach a destination without rushing.
9. Stop and make a memory — without taking a photo.
10. Get outside, even if it's just for two minutes.
11. Walk barefoot on the grass when you're outside.
12. Smell the scent.
13. Breathing in everything. Dizziness. Impatience. Euphoria. Confusion. Heartache. Everything.
14. Surround yourself with artwork and meaningful quotes and photographs and other things that remind you of the feelings you want to experience.
