Grab your “espresso” and listen to “Please, please, please.”
sabrina carpenter He is currently in the middle of his international tour ‘Short N’ Sweet Tour’ And, based on what we’ve seen online, she’s been putting her best foot forward in every show.
according to set list fmThe 25-year-old headliner typically performs an expansive three-act, 21-song, 90-minute set that includes all of her biggest hits, including the aforementioned “Espresso” and “Please, Please, Please.”
But, aside from Instagram clips and YouTube videos, it’s hard to get a sense of what Sabrina Carpenter’s ‘Short N’ Sweet’ show is really like.
So far.
The New York Post’s Angela Tricarico attended Carpenter’s concert in Brooklyn on September 30 Barclays Center And filled us up.
“It was really cool because in the first act she woke up and went about her day,” Tricarico told us. “Then, the second act is the nighttime ‘Sabrina After Dark’ segment.’ The third part proceeds at night and the ‘espresso’ is the next morning.”
Tricarico’s highlights included the live debut of Carpenter’s “Busy Woman” – “Instead of doing a surprise cover, she made that song, so it was like ‘Surprise, I’m covering my own song!'” – and “Because I liked a boy.”
“It was pretty crazy live,” Tricarico gushed. “It felt great.”
And, yes, the crowd erupted for two of Carpenter’s biggest singles, “Espresso” and “Please, Please, Please.”
“Everyone sang those two songs the loudest because everyone knows the words,” she smiled. “Of course, Sabrina sang virtually every song on the new album and they were both towards the end.”
More than anything, Tricarico was impressed by the show’s unique aesthetic.
“I loved his set,” he said. “It was like looking at the 1950s through a 1970s lens, like ‘Grease’.” They’re doing the 50s, the 70s.
Joining the pint-sized performer on stage was an intricate backdrop with a bed, two floors, a bathroom and more.

sabrina carpenter new music
On Friday, August 23, Carpenter released her sixth studio album, “Short N’ Sweet”.
Clocking in at just 36 minutes, the record is short and sweet, but also spicy and slick. This is a big step for the rising pop star. According to our estimation, there are elements of folk, R&B, synth rock and country music in this adventurous album.
Standout tracks – in addition to the omnipresent and euphoric “Espresso” and “Please Please Please” – include the downbeat, chillwave-esque “Don’t Smile”, the catchy “Slim Pickins” (this song could be the definition of “demure”) and Self-righteous “taste.”
Don’t sleep on the dreamy Olivia Rodrigo-esque “Lies to Girls,” either. The urgent songs also pack a punch. “You don’t have to lie to girls. If they like you, they’ll just lie to themselves.” Rent-Free will be lingering in our minds for months, and with good reason; That’s a wall.
