There have been several adaptations of the classic RL Stine children’s book thriller, but 2023 tv series This is surprisingly good scary programming that even kids and teens can watch. The story is based on a group of high school students investigating a mystery from the past. Justin Long plays a teacher. Season 2, arriving on January 10, 2025, will have a new storyline with a new cast.

This 1998 film stars Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman As two witch sisters who are unlucky in love. It’s not a horror film, but the iconic house and candle-filled atmosphere make it an autumn classic, plus there are some creepy magical hijinks, including one where the sisters accidentally resurrect an evil ex-boyfriend.

“Buffy the Vampire Slayer”
This modern classic show is usually a great Halloween watch, as Buffy (Sarah Michelle Gellar) has to fight vampires and various creatures in every episode. However, if you want a particularly chill time, look no further than the season 4 episode “Hush.” In this eerily silent episode, everyone loses the power to speak, thanks to a group of terrifying ghosts. Say what you want about the vintage special effects in “Buffy,” but the jerky floating movements of the ghouls remain genuinely scary today. The episode blends the show’s typical horror with some laugh-out-loud moments.

“What do we do in the shadows”
If you don’t have the courage for true horror, fear not: vampires of staten island Here to serve comedy. This under-appreciated drama recently ended after four seasons, so it’s the perfect time to watch it.
