Who Will Perform At The DNC Day 4? Pink And The Chicks Set To Take The Stage

After star-studded performances from Stevie Wonder, John Legend, and Maren Morris on Wednesday, the final night of the Democratic National Convention will feature more artists ahead of Vice President Kamala Harris’ historic speech.

Each night of the convention aligns with the 2024 DNC tagline, “For the People, For Our Future.” Thursday’s theme will focus on “For Our Future.” Speakers on Day 4 include Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren, Arizona Sen. Mark Kelly, Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, and Harris, who will close out the evening by accepting the party’s nomination.

Who Will Perform At The DNC Day 4?

The Chicks, formerly known as The Dixie Chicks, will perform “The Star-Spangled Banner” live at the United Center on Day 4, according to Variety. This will be their first live rendition of the anthem at the convention, after their previous performance at the 2020 DNC, which was pre-recorded due to the pandemic.

Pink is also expected to perform on Thursday evening, marking her first appearance at the DNC, CNN first reported on Wednesday. The pop icon, known for her outspoken political views, will likely take the stage before Harris officially accepts the Democratic party’s nomination for president.

Actress Kerry Washington will serve as the celebrity host for Day 4. Washington is best known for playing crisis manager Olivia Pope in ABC’s political drama Scandal. She currently stars in Hulu’s comedy-drama series UnPrisoned.

Several musical acts have already graced the stage during the week’s festivities. On Monday, Jason Isbell and Mickey Guyton performed, though James Taylor’s appearance was cut due to time constraints. Day 2 featured performances by R&B legend Patti LaBelle and rapper Common, along with a surprise rendition of “Turn Down for What” by Lil Jon during the ceremonial roll call.

Last night, Maren Morris sang “Better Than We Found It,” followed by Stevie Wonder’s performance of “Higher Ground.” John Legend and Sheila E. paid tribute to Prince with a rendition of “Let’s Go Crazy,” honoring the artist from Democratic Vice Presidential Nominee Tim Walz’s home state.
