The video of a mother of three suffering from alopecia went viral on social media after she challenged liberal women’s decision to shave their heads to appear more “undesirable” to men in protest of the 2024 presidential election results.
In the wake of President-elect Donald Trump’s victory over incumbent Vice President Kamala Harris, a group of supporters adopted the ideology of the radical feminist 4B movement, which originated in South Korea amid discontent over gender inequality, pay disparity and violence against women.
“They’re like, ‘We’re shaving our heads to be ugly,'” Jessica Yang, a mother from Dallas, Texas, told Fox News Digital during a video interview. “Immediately, every emotion inside me that I was feeling with my alopecia came to the surface that morning.”
This movement, also known as the “Four Noses”, was started with a message for women to boycott or reject heterosexual relationships, dating, marriage, and childbearing.
American liberal women are uniting to opt out of intimacy with men for the next four years.
In the middle of the night, Yang learned about the show of feminist camaraderie through TikTok when she logged on and found nothing but bare-headed videos.
“There was a video of a mom discussing how you should encourage your young daughter to shave [her] Head,” Yang said.
One by one, Yang watched videos of women praying to each other in order to appear less desirable to men.
Yang, originally from Oklahoma, had enough, so she decided to post a video of her own.
“Wait,” Yang said in the viral video. “Hold on. There are people who have lost their hair, like me, and it’s been devastating.”
“You guys claim to be so caring and kind, but look at what you’re doing,” she continued. “What you guys don’t realize is that you’re triggering people who have lost their hair and gotten cancer.”
The video immediately gained attention and received 2.8 million views and 16 thousand comments on TikTok.
“Thank you,” one social media user wrote to Yang in the comments section, “my wife has cancer and is going through chemotherapy and has gone beautifully bald.”
Another user expressed sympathy for Yang, saying that he had lost his wife to breast cancer at the age of 32.
He said that his wife was very upset with her hair falling.
“She was gorgeous,” he wrote. “So are you. I miss her. They don’t have a clue.”
While social media quickly emerged with liberal women handling scissors and razors, it appears that most of the videos have been deleted.
“I woke up this morning looking spicy,” one woman said while shaving her head in a stitched TikTok video. “Have I given up on America? I have it. Also stopped coloring this hair. Fk dyeing my hair. I want my hair to be long and luxurious. F–k all that s–t. F–k being thin. F–k being hot. F–k all the things the patriarchy wants from us ‘Cause obviously, they don’t give a fuck about us.
She added, “I’m talking to you too, to those of you women who have the internalized misogyny necessary to do the work you do.” “The minorities who are so afraid of a woman in power that you would rather cozy up to the white man just to have a few crumbs fall off his plate so you can eat from them.”
“We shouldn’t do this,” Yang said. “Especially if we’re living in a world where we want our youth to be kind.”
Yang told Fox News Digital that her response to the video was not meant to discourage liberal women from reacting to the election result, although she does not align herself with the movement or feel that way about the results.
“Can we stay with the blue bracelets,” Yang asked. “Can’t we make it bald and unattractive?”
Yang said she is Native American and compared her lost long and wavy hair to Pocahontas.
“It’s sad because I already feel so unattractive,” Yang said.
As an adult woman, Yang says she can overcome her lack of awareness.
However, he expressed concern for children with cancer who are accidentally exposed to out-of-touch commentary.
“Hey, there are kids who have cancer and still have to go to school sometimes,” Yang said. “There are moms who are going through chemo and losing their hair and still have to show up for motherhood and do all the things. Then there are people like me who have alopecia.”
