Florida cops are searching for a killer who gunned down a woman and her 4-year-old child inside a car late Friday night on the Florida Turnpike near Hollywood.
Highway Patrol troopers got word of the shooting on the highway’s northbound lanes near mile marker 49, not far from Hollywood Boulevard, just before midnight Friday.
When they arrived, they discovered the woman and the girl inside the car with gunshot wounds, Local10 reported.
The child was dead. Paramedics took the woman to a local hospital, where she died.
The Florida Turnpike was closed briefly in both directions early Saturday. A tow truck picked up the car, which was riddled with bullets on the front and back passenger’s side.
The Broward Sheriff’s Homicide Unit is investigating the double murder.
They did not name the victims and provided no further details in response to a query from The Post.
