“Yellowstone” fans aren’t holding back on their thoughts on the Season 5 finale.
The final episode of the said series, which aired Sunday night, received a mixed reaction from viewers, many of whom were unhappy with the way creator Taylor Sheridan ended the Dutton family’s storyline.
In the finale, Kayce Dutton (Luke Grimes) sells the farm to Thomas Rainwater (Gil Birmingham), while Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly) seeks revenge for the murder of their father John Dutton (Kevin Costner) by her brother Jamie (Wes Bentley) was killed.

Reilly’s performance as Beth in the final season also received praise, with many fans declaring that she should be honored for the role.

Season 5 was likely the final season of “Yellowstone”. However, it was recently reported that stars Reilly, 47, and Hauser, 49, have closed deals to lead a spinoff show about their characters, husband and wife Beth and Rip.
In August, multiple outlets also reported that a season 6 was in the works, but Paramount never announced or confirmed it.
Costner, 69, left after the first half of season 5 amid rumors of a feud with Sheridan, 54. His absence from the show was dealt with by killing John in a hit man attack, which was initially staged to look like a suicide. Season 5B Premiere.
