Actress Danielle Vasinova died during her battle with COVID-19 — yet she lived to tell the tale.

“I died for three minutes on December 12, 2019,” Vasinova, 42, said. People In a new interview published Thursday.
After becoming infected with the disease before it became widespread in the US, Vasinova said she felt like she was “getting the flu.”
“I went to urgent care in downtown LA, and they decided it was strep and sent me home with some antibiotics. But by the next day, I could barely walk. My legs won’t move. It was strange.”
“I felt like I was going to die,” she recalled.
His uncle took him to the emergency room. She told him that what happened next was like a scene from a movie.
“He said people were running around me, and a little girl jumped on top of my chest and started pumping, pumping, pumping. And then she saw my heartbeat going on the monitor. Flatlined,” Vasinova continued.
His heart stopped beating for three minutes. An ER nurse repeatedly attempted to revive the actress until they eventually found a pulse. He was then taken to the ICU and put into a coma.
“My organs were completely paralyzed,” Vasinova said. “I went from being young and healthy to having this infection that suddenly took over my body. It just came out, and it rocked my world.”
Although she has no memory of the three minutes she was legally dead, she said that since this traumatic event she has felt a connection to a higher power and angels around her.
“I didn’t see the light or the tunnel, but they say it can come back to you in flashbacks,” she continued.
“However, I started seeing a lot of angel numbers everywhere. I would see sequences like 5555, 7777. It was strange, but something was telling me, ‘There’s more to you.’ You weren’t supposed to go just yet. You’re supposed to do something else.”
The actress further added, “It’s hard to even explain how I feel, but I am so attached. It felt like a turning point in my life. Death and rebirth. I know not to take anything for granted. Life is very precious, and it is a gift. We are here to do some good in the world, to serve and always be grateful.
After recovering from COVID-19, Vasinova was able to meet the nurse responsible for bringing her back to life.
“I found out her name was Ruby, so I went back to the hospital with a little ruby bracelet, just to say, ‘Thank you for saving my life,'” she told People.
“I didn’t know if she would recognize me, but when she opened the door, I started crying and she just lost it. She told me that she never knew who would live or die after the transfer. He gave me the biggest hug. Because I was gone for all three minutes. But I came back.”
