Jana Kramer and her husband, Alan Russell, were very clear about how comfortable they were with allowing sex scenes to be filmed during their marriage.
over the actress “Whine Down” On the podcast, Russell was joined by his wife and discussed a recent “Yellowstone” episode the couple watched.
During one of the final episodes of the hit western, Wes Bentley and Don Olivieri filmed a steamy sex scene, which prompted a conversation between Kramer and Russell.
Former Scotland professional footballer Russell told his wife, “There is no part of me that would ever, ever, allow a man to get that close to you.” “Never.”
Kramer immediately asked, “What if Taylor Sheridan auditions me and I book a role where I have to do that scene?”
Russell replied, “Then I’ll go Tommy Lee on everyone.” “I would call the producers and threaten the producers, ‘You need to change that scene. Well, it’s for the good of your health, you need to change this scene.'”
Kramer put further pressure on her husband, and attempted to clarify whether he expected her to reject any role offered to her if a sex scene was required.
“No. I won’t let you do that scene. No, that kind of role is not good for a marriage. This. Especially [as] As a guy who is not in the acting world, it is difficult, so my opinion is based on, I am not in that world,” he said.
“You can keep smiling and laughing if you want. But let’s turn it around. Let’s turn it around because we do it all the time,” Russell said.
Russell tried to give Kramer a different perspective and asked him how he would feel if he filmed an intimate scene. The ‘One Tree Hill’ actress made it clear that she would have no problem with it.
“I’ve dated actors before that required me to do sex scenes,” Kramer said. “It’s literally the most uncomfortable thing ever. Like when I’m giving Turtle a hand job on ‘Entourage’, it’s very uncomfortable. I’m literally taking my hand and rubbing her leg. The speed of it – it’s most inconvenient – it’s not sexy.
Kramer listed past moments when she filmed intimate scenes with co-stars — including scenes with Stephen Colletti in “One Tree Hill” and Austin Nichols in “Gaslit by My Husband.”
“I don’t care. I don’t care. If you’re making eye contact with another man and you’re naked…” Russell began.
“Even though you’re never completely naked,” Kramer chimed in, “you can see everything. I was in my lingerie for the ‘Gaslit’ one.”
“You don’t have to remind me,” Russell quipped. “Stop bringing these things up.”
The couple, who tied the knot in July, continued to argue on-air before Kramer declared, “I really can’t win.”
“No, you can’t win, so don’t try,” Russell responded.
