let it rip.
Cole Hauser is open to working in Montana again after the final season of “Yellowstone” — if creator Taylor Sheridan asks him to.
Though the final episodes of Season 5 have not yet been released, Hauser told The Post exclusively that he is set to reprise his role of Rip Wheeler.
“If Taylor writes it, I would definitely love to do it,” Hauser said, promoting a partnership between his coffee brand. Free Rein Coffee Companyand Walmart.
Appropriately, there are rumors that Season 6 of “Yellowstone” might focus on husband-wife duo Rip and Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly).
“I love the character,” Hauser told the Post about Rip. “He's been fun to play. He has a lot of different colors. He's not just one thing.”
The actor said he would particularly like to return to the “Yellowstone” universe because of his admiration for his co-stars.
“The cast, you know, I consider them all family,” he said. “So if Taylor did something and put it in front of me, I'm sure I'd do it.”
It was reported last month that Hauser and Reilly, 47, were in talks to play the lead roles in the show’s sixth season. The Hollywood Reporter, Diversity And deadline confirmed this story, which was originally reported by naughty child,
However, Paramount has not yet confirmed the news itself. So as of now, “Yellowstone” is set to end after Season 5B, which premieres on November 10.
Releasing a teaser for the upcoming six episodes, which will not feature mainstay Kevin Costner, Hauser told The Post that he and Reilly “did a great job” as Rip and Beth.
“I'm excited for people to see 5B and I'm excited about the support I've received during the show,” he said. “There are some beautiful scenes. Really beautiful things.”
Hauser also explained how the cast and crew decided to say goodbye to the show forever after filming wrapped.
“It’s definitely weird when you work with somebody as a group for so long,” said Hauser, who has been starring on “Yellowstone” since the show’s debut in 2018.
“The crew is family, the cast is family, the drivers, the transportation, the people who cook for us everyday,” he said. “So it wasn't emotional, but it was definitely a sad moment when everybody was moving on in their own ways.”
“But I've been in this business for 35 years and you have six months where you're with everybody 14 hours a day, and then all of a sudden it's gone,” Houser said. “So I'm used to it.”
The “Good Will Hunting” star admitted he doesn't re-watch any of his projects, including “Yellowstone.”
“I did it, I was there, and I'm excited for the audience to see it,” he said. “But personally, I think I can accomplish it.”
Hauser's Free Rein Coffee Company, which launches online in October 2023, recently announced its Nationwide retail expansion with Walmart.
This slow-roasted, small-volume, Western-inspired coffee brand supports veterans, active military, first responders, nurses, and teachers.
“This is such a big deal for us that we are focused on how we can make the best of it,” Hauser said. “Everyone involved in getting to this point last year has been a great team. We've done well in our short time here, but hopefully this will take us to the forefront of the coffee world.”
Houser also explained how he has been able to balance his coffee company with starring in “Yellowstone.”
“They've been up to Montana. We're doing another event in Montana in October,” he said, “Honestly, I've been working hard for the last four and a half months.”
