Zendaya always makes a statement on the red carpet and last night she went all out on the red carpet at the 2024 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony. Zendaya channeled Cher in an iconic look from Bob Mackie’s 2001 collection.
Zendaya, 28, gave a nod to Cher, one of the music legends inducted into the Hall of Fame this year.
Cher, 78, has been a longtime fan of Mackie’s, wearing her creations since 1967, when she first designed them for The Carol Burnett Show.
Zendaya’s skin-baring ensemble featured a glittering gold bodysuit adorned with pearls, complemented by a sleek white satin coat.
As explained by Zendaya’s longtime stylist and collaborator, Law Roach, the vintage look was taken from Mackie’s 2001 fall fashion collection.
Roach, 46, shared “Fall 2001 Bob Mackie Couture Collection, Foreign Intrigue” on her Instagram Stories, describing the Challengers actress’s stunning look for the evening.
In addition to Cher, others honored during the ceremony at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland, Ohio included Mary J. Blige, Dave Matthews Band, Foreigner, Peter Frampton, Kool & the Gang, Ozzy Osbourne and A Tribe Called Quest.
