He is revered royally.
The Princess of Wales is the most popular member of the British royal family, according to a new survey conducted in the United Kingdom.
Queen Elizabeth II, 42, resumed royal duties earlier this week after completing cancer treatment. Ipsos SurveyIn this, British citizens aged 18-75 years were asked about their feelings towards family.
66% of respondents have a favorable opinion of Kate, while only 10% have an unfavorable opinion of her.
Her husband, Prince William, was found to be the second most popular royal with a 65% favorability rating, and a relatively low 13% disfavor rating.
The top three also included Princess Anne, the only daughter of the late Queen Elizabeth.
The accomplished horseman – who was dubbed a “badass” earlier this year Riding an unruly horse at the Trooping the Colour ceremonyy — has a favorability rating of 62%, while only 9% have an unfavorable opinion.
The survey also found that King Charles remains well-liked even in his second year as monarch.
Charles, who is also battling cancer, came in fourth with a 56% favorability score.
However, it was a different story for his estranged son Prince Harry and his estranged daughter-in-law Meghan Markle, who are widely disliked across the nation.
The pair were among the least popular members of the royal family, alongside Prince Andrew, a disgraced associate of Jeffrey Epstein.
Only 28% of British people have a positive opinion of Prince Harry, while 46% have a negative opinion of him.
The numbers were even more dire for Markle, where her favorability rating was 21% and her unfavorability rating was 53%.
Only Andrew fared worse, with just 10% of Britons having a favourable sentiment towards him, compared to 66% who had an unfavourable sentiment towards him.
Overall, the survey shows that the royal family remains in a relatively strong position, and remains highly popular across different age groups and regions of the country.
Less than a quarter of British people (23%) believe it would be better for the UK if the monarchy were abolished, while more than two in five (44%) believe the country would be worse off if the royal family were removed.
“This latest survey paints a picture of the enduring fascination with the royal family,” said Gideon Skinner, senior director for UK politics at Ipsos.
“It is also notable that more than half of Britons believe King Charles is performing his role well, and only a minority want the monarchy to end, indicating stability in the image of the royal family.”
However, Ispos also said that Harry and Markle have a good following overall among young British citizens.
Many young people also supported the Prince's return to Britain as a working royal.
Although support for Kate, William and Charles was strong, none of the current royals can match the late Queen Elizabeth in terms of popularity.
In A separate Ipsos survey conducted in May 2022Just four months before her death, 86% of Britons said they were satisfied with the Queen's job.
